New Chairman for Electronics Yorkshire Ltd
At Electronics Yorkshire Ltd's recent annual general meeting it was announced that Mr Seggy Segaran would take over the chair of the non-executive board from Dr Chris Worrall, retiring chairman of the Leeds-based organisation.
Commenting on his new appointment, Mr Segaran, managing director of York-based Tele-Products Ltd, said: 'I am excited about this new challenge and look forward to working with my fellow board members to maximise the success of Electronics Yorkshire Ltd.'
Dr Worrall, managing director of Arrow Technical Services Ltd in Rotherham, has been chairman of the board of Electronics Yorkshire Ltd for the past 12 months and will continue to play an active role as a board member.
Peter Brooks, Electronics Yorkshire Ltd's chief executive officer commented: 'I am delighted with the appointment of Seggy and I look forward to working with him as we continue to build on the success we have had in promoting and supporting growth of the electronics industry.' Mr Brooks continued: 'Although I am sorry to see Chris step down, I'm delighted that he will continue to play an active role on our board.'
