New business book launched
Tele-Products Ltd has just launched a book aimed at helping people intending to start up in business. The examples used are based around a business providing a Portable Appliance Testing service. However the overall advice is pertinent to any new or proposed business start-up, as any successful business needs to take many things into consideration beyond the technical abilities of the entrepreneur, such as pricing, competition, marketing, customer service and other essentials like bookkeeping.

Managing Director Seggy Segaran said: “What I have set out to do with this book is to provide a useful background to all these other activities which contribute to the success of any business. Most of this is based on 20 years of running my own business.”

“While reading this book is no guarantee of success, it will certainly help the budding entrepreneur to build a robust and successful business. If it manages to do that then I will have achieved what I set out to do” added Seggy.

Jackie Stanton, former Business Programme Executive for the Prince’s Trust said “At first I have to say I wasn't overly excited at the prospect on reading a book on PAT Testing (outside my interest sphere a little!); However, I have to congratulate Seggy ... the book is extremely accessible, easy to read and understand (even for a non-technical person like me) and the illustrations and summary boxes are an excellent addition.”

“The book is stuffed full of useful info on running a business, regulations and where to go for additional help  and the templates in the Appendices will be very useful to someone new to business” she added.

Bjorn Risi, Programme Manager for the Princes Trust said “I have managed to have a good look at this now and I must say it's a good read! I had the intention of skimming through but ended up reading the best part of it. It’s nice and easy to read and follow which will be ideal for people who are looking at self employment for the first time.”

The book is available from Tele-Products Ltd and from Amazon. For every book sold the author will donate £1 to the Prince's Trust.
